From the Calls panel, click the Settings icon.From the sidebar, click the Calls icon.Download and install the Chrome extension.Īfter you update the desktop app or install the Chrome components, set up the headset.Download and install the most recent version of the Chrome Host Listener.To use a Jabra headset in Genesys Cloud from the Chrome web browser, install two other Chrome components. In the menu bar, click the Genesys Cloud icon. To use a Jabra headset in the Genesys Cloud desktop app, you must be using the latest version of the app. (No other browsers are supported.) In both cases, you must perform extra tasks in preparation. Jabra headsets can only be used in the Genesys Cloud desktop app or when running Genesys Cloud from the Chrome web browser. (If you use a Bluetooth connection, you cannot use the built-in call controls on a Jabra headset.) To use the built-in call controls on a Jabra headset, you must have a WebRTC phone assigned to you (See Assign a default phone) and your Jabra headset must be using a USB connection. *Available call controls depend upon the connection type you are using and the capabilities of your particular Jabra headset model.Ĭall controls are only supported in the Genesys Cloud web browser client and the desktop app, they are not supported in the embedded clients. This feature enables you to use the controls on the headset to perform basic call operations. When complete, minimize your Mitel Connect window by clicking on the dash to the left of the X in the upper right-hand corner, and it will reside in your taskbar until you need it again.Genesys Cloud WebRTC supports the built-in call controls on Jabra headsets.To switch back to your desk phone, simply click Desk Phone in the Primary Assignment window.For further instructions for using Mitel Connect, please refer to the Connect Client QRG_updated_2018 located in Public Folders > All Public Folders > Phone List and Instructions.Note: Caller ID features are not a function of Mitel Connect, but of your personal device and your local provider (for instance, callers not in your personal Contact List may show up as Potential Spam).When placing an outbound call in External Assignment Number mode, pressing the green Dial icon will cause Mitel Connect to first call your cell phone when you answer, it will proceed with placing the call to the person you are dialing.While your office phone is forwarded to your personal phone, please note that your personal device is effectively just a handset you will perform all functions, such as placing or transferring a call, using the Mitel Connect application on your desktop.Your incoming calls will now be forwarded to the number you’ve chosen! You may want to ask someone to call your work phone number to test that it is working properly.Select the drop down marked “Press 1 to connect” and change it to “ Automatically connect”.Enter the Number of Rings if you want to change it from the default of 6 (choose between 1 – 20 rings).In Add Number field, enter the (10- digit) area code and phone number.In Add Label field, enter a name for the number (e.g.Add the Number to which you’d like your calls forwarded.Under Primary Assignment, select External Assignment Number, another dialog box will open.In the Mitel Connect app, click on your name/extension in the upper left.Click Pin to Taskbar so it’s there next time you log in.Type Mitel Connect in the Search window.If you don’t see the icon on your taskbar:.Open the Mitel Connect app on your desktop by clicking the Mitel Connect icon on your taskbar.
